Why I Became a Founding Member of IDLife
In 2012, I made a decision that changed the direction of my life: I quit drinking. That decision left me looking for something to fill the space alcohol had occupied — and for me, that turned out to be running. I started logging miles, and it stuck. In 2013 I ran 3 full marathons and 2 half marathons. In 2014, I ran three full marathons and three half marathons. I haven’t logged that kind of mileage since, but that season of my life is what led me to IDLife.
Training like that, I knew I needed real support for my body — the right nutrition, the right supplementation, something built for what I was actually doing. But I didn’t know where to start. So I did what most people do: I walked into a big box retailer and stood in front of a wall of supplements.
It was overwhelming. Honestly, it felt worse than that — it felt hollow. The person helping me in the store had opinions about what I needed, but no real background to back them up. I wasn’t getting guidance; I was getting a guess, dressed up as advice. It felt less like health care and more like a sales pitch aimed at whoever happened to be standing in the aisle.
That’s when IDLife came into my life.
What set it apart from everything else I’d tried was the assessment. Instead of a one-size-fits-all shelf of products, IDLife built something that actually looked at biology and chronobiology — where you are in your life, how your body runs, what your day actually looks like — and used that to build a support package around you. Not a generic customer. You.
That’s why I signed on as a founding member. And it’s why, twelve years later, I’m still taking the supplements and still drinking the shakes. I’m not as active in the business side of things today as I once was, but I still understand — and deeply appreciate — what IDLife is built on.
Here’s what I’ve come to believe after all these years: we all have questions about our health, and we don’t always know where to find real answers. For me, IDLife was where I found mine.
So if you take nothing else away from this, take the assessment. Here’s the link: IDLIFE Personalized Assessment. Take a look, see what it tells you, and make your own decision — because it’s your life and your health. That’s really what I’m trying to get across here: it’s not about being sold something. It’s about finally having better information to work with.
